Who am I they ask

I am a boat during a flood
An extinguisher during a fire
I am a rose in a cotton field
A dandelion in the grass
I am a fish in a pond
Who am I they ask.
I am a could in the sky
A shell in the sand
I am wise strong
A cow in a herd of rhinos
Who am I they ask
Sometimes I ask myself the same question
I am the bars that hold the lion in its cage
The little propeller that steers ships
I am the legs that hold the table up
The bricks that hold up the building
